Malcolm Foster, Best Practice Club secretary and deputy chief procurement officer for Leeds City Council, said:  “Once again we are pleased to announce that we have had a record number of entries with 65 submissions over the various categories.

"The judging panel has been very impressed with the quality and standard of submission which seems to get better and better each year.  It is particularly pleasing and encouraging to see the enthusiasm even in these difficult economic times.”

Alison France, Sanderson’s Managing Director said “It is a great honour for me to accept this award on behalf of Sanderson Associates, for the efforts of everyone within our Company to be recognised in such a difficult economic climate shows that our efforts are recognised at the highest level.

We were extremely pleased that we were shortlisted for three awards, to be awarded the SME Award is fantastic news for our Company and to be shortlisted for two other awards for which we were 'highly commended' is something to which I and all our staff are extremely proud.

My thanks go to the organisers and Judges of the Yorkshire and Humber Construction Best Practice Awards and our congratulations to all the other award winners."
