Free File Transfer Service, large digital files up to 2GB per transfer, we can transfer any type of file – such as presentations, photos, videos, music, documents and more, securely uploaded and downloaded to up to 20 recipients, held on a secure server for up to four weeks!


In this day and age we are all concerned and have a serious duty to act responsibly when it comes to Environmental Issues, as a Company we do everything we can to reduce our impact on the environment, one of these methods is to avoid, where possible, printing hard paper copies of documents.

The majority of our clients are with us on this issue and request our reports and/or drawings in electronic format, this, in its own right creates issues with the potential size of email attachments which can be blocked by email servers.

We therefore encourage the use of our web based file transfer portal which offers users the ability to upload files of up to 2GB in size, send these files to up to 20 recipients with the files being stored securely on the server for a period of 4 weeks before being automatically deleted.

Recipients receive an email inviting them to download the file, along with a message from you. Once the file has been downloaded you receive an email confirming the recipient has successfully downloaded the file(s).

There are many companies on the internet that offer this as a ‘free service’, their income comes from advertisements displayed whilst you are uploading documents and when the recipient is downloading them. Of course you do not have any control over who or what advertisements are displayed and some may be totally inappropriate and/or from one of your competitors.

We therefore bought into our own WeTransfer Channel which offers a secure service without advertisements, well OK then there is our own logo on there that links to our website but hey we all need to take advantage of a bit of relatively free advertising!

We offer to all our clients and website visitors the free use of this portal in accordance with the WeTransfer Terms of Service.

  • How does it work?

    It’s simple!

    Go to
    Select the file(s) you want to send by clicking on the “+”
    Fill in the receiver’s email addresses (up to 20) and your own email address
    Write a message to your recipients (optional)
    Hit the ‘Transfer’ button, and the files are uploaded to the WeTransfer servers
    Once the file(s) have reached the WeTransfer secure servers, you receive an email that confirms that WeTransfer have received the file(s). When the file(s) is downloaded, you receive a further email that notifies you that the recipient has received your files successfully.

    Do I need to register?

    No. WeTransfer is and will always be registration free.

    Do I have to pay?

    No. We are completely free.

    How much GB can I upload?

    You can upload 2GB per transfer. It doesn’t matter whether it is one file or 100.

    How often can I upload?

    As often as you want!

    To how many people can I send files?

    You can send your files to up to 20 people. Just separate the email addresses with a “,” or a space.

    When sending a file to several people, will the recipients see the other email addresses I’ve sent it too? (like a CC in an email)

    No. Each email is sent separately, so they will all think they’re special.

    How long are my files available to download?

    4 weeks. After that, the files will be permanently deleted to make room for new transfers.

    Can I delete files on my own?

    No, but they will be automatically deleted after 4 weeks.

    Do you save the files?

    No, we are not saving your files. We are just helping you to send them from A to B. So you still need to file them.

    Do the files stay on my Hard disk?

    Yes. The WeTransfer system simply copies the file onto our servers.

    Do you check the files that are sent?

    No. WeTransfer is all about trust. We trust you and you can trust us. We don’t care what you send as long as it does not conflict with our terms. If you use our service, you automatically agree with our conditions, which you can find in the Terms and Privacy Statement.

    How secure is your service?

    Very secure! We use a special encryption technology when files are transferred. Once the files are stored with us, they can only be accessed using links that are send to the sender and receiver. These links are basically impossible to guess.

    What happens with all these email addresses of people sending and receiving files via WeTransfer?

    Nothing. They will never be shared with third parties or used for any other purpose then the file transfer process.

  • When I try to upload a file, a white page with an exclamation mark (!) comes up. What does that mean?

    The grey exclamation mark (!) basically means that your flash has crashed. You need the latest flash version on your computer). You can find it here:

    My Keynote file won’t upload, why?

    In older versions of keynote, the keynote file is actually a folder with multiple files in it. Zipping it should solve the problem.

    The transfer speed is soooo slow 🙁 What is the problem?

    With our awesome servers and connection, we’ve done all we can for optimal speed on our side of the line. If you’re experiencing a slow upload, it is likely to be an issue with your Internet service provider or home network. Sorry!

    I haven’t received a confirmation email that the files where successfully sent. Did the transfer work?

    If you don’t receive it immediately, please check your spam folder – sometimes the confirmation email ends up there. If it’s not, double check that the email address you typed into WeTransfer is correct. If you don’t receive an email at all, the transfer wasn’t successful.

  • My friend didn’t receive my download link. Where is it?

    Two words: spam filter. The email probably was mistaken for spam and got caught in either their junk mail folder on arrival or it was already stopped by the email servers’ spam filter.

    The download doesn’t start when clicking on the button. How do I get the file now?

    Sometimes browser settings block the easy download function. Try to use another browser. You can also use the alternative download method “Download through your browser” which you can find under the download button.

    The download speed is soooo slow…. 🙁 what can I do about it?

    There is not much you can do about it. That is most probably due to your internet connection. There are these typical ‘busy times’ where just everything is slow on the internet because too many people are active. Still, check your internet connection and make sure nothing is wrong with it. And then wait a bit and try it later again.

    I have downloaded the files but can’t find them. Where do they hide?

    Downloads are usually saved in your download folder or on your desktop. If you still can’t find them, just use the search function on your computer. Normally you can choose where you want to save it.

    I downloaded the files but can’t open them 🙁 What can I do?

    If you’re not sure about the file format, please ask the sender first. If the file is a zip file, and you can’t open it on your computer, then try downloading :-

  • I sent a wrong file. Can I delete it on my own?

    No, but the files will be automatically deleted after 4 weeks.

    Who can I contact if someone has used my email address for a transfer without asking me?
